Subject – NEW Player Development Programs for the 2010-11 Season

To All Perinton Youth Hockey families...

I am pleased to announce a series of new programs for the upcoming season and we are pleased to let our members know about our enhanced Player Development Programs. These programs are the culmination of 9-months of planning and we are pleased to provide our members FREE Professional Instruction as well offering additional programs that players can enroll in. PYH is committed to offering development programs that appeal to all our members utilizing a diverse group of qualified professions. These efforts will again differentiate Perinton Youth Hockey and provide its players a great experience for the upcoming season.

Perinton Youth Hockey has contracted with Bob Janosz of the Janosz School of Goaltending for the upcoming season. Bob will be instructing all Perinton Youth Hockey players thru a series of free clinics for goalies thru the 2010-11 season. Bob will also be offering a regular series of group clinics for throughout the season - the schedule and registration details will be posted soon.

About Bob: A former Professional, College, and Junior goaltender standout with a Masters degree in Physical Education, accredits his knowledge as a successful goaltender coach and consultant. Highlighting Bob's coaching career is his recent selection by USA Hockey as the Eastern Regional Development Scout for the evaluation and recruitment of goaltenders and players for the NTDP Under 16 and 17 teams. He will duly serve as a coach for the Warren Strelow National Goaltending Camp, scout goaltenders and players for selection to the USA Select 14-17 Festivals and coach several USA Select Camps. Bob will also continue as head instructor for all 2009 / 2010 JSG camps, clinics, and private training sessions. Bob’s NHL / AHL coaching career saw him with the NHL Buffalo Sabres and Florida Panthers as assistant goaltender coach plus head goaltender coach of the AHL Rochester Americans.

Nobody cares about the success of their goaltenders more”, as is evident by Bob personally supervising all on ice sessions and devoting individualized attention to each student who attends.

Bob is offering a Pre-Season Tune-Up Camp at the Webster Ice Arena August 30 – September 1, 2010. The camp includes 7.5 hours of ice time and two sessions per day.

This is one component of an enhanced Player Development Program for our players and providing program instruction beyond the work our players do with their teams. In addition to Bob there are additional programs for the upcoming season:

Erika Stone Power Skating: Erika will be working with Perinton Youth Hockey Teams providing regular team Power Skating sessions as well as additional sessions players can purchase. Many Perinton players have worked with Erika with great results.

Rory Fitzpatrick and the Rochester Hockey Academy: Rory will be our lead instructor for the Beginners and Initiation programs for the upcoming season. Rory will also be offering targeted sessions to our players throughout the season. We are very excited to have Rory in our program for the upcoming season.

Maksymum Hockey: Maksymum will again lead our "House Plus" session working with each of our House teams. This program was well received last season and we are excited to continue this relationship. In addition, Maksymum Goaltending will offer its Monday clinics that were provided last year.

Jim Armstrong – Strong Hockey: Jim and PYH ACE Director Bob Knightly will be working on the pre-season Mite Cross-Ice Development Program. The program is targeted to help develop our younger players with basic skills and develop a passion for the game.

More details will follow over the following weeks – but many people have worked behind the scenes to offer our players a new and enhanced approach to Player Development.

Yours In Hockey,

Jim Young
